Are caviar prices the same as they are at the restaurant?

While Caviar tries to set prices at the same value as in the restaurant, menu prices are set at the discretion of that location's management. There are restaurant partners that may include fees when pricing certain items in their menu which could result in slightly higher item prices on Caviar.

What fees does Caviar usually charge for orders?

Caviar charges a Delivery Fee for every order. The amount varies per restaurant and is affected by the distance between the customer and the restaurant location. A Service Fee is also charged for each delivery order. Fees can vary between markets and a charge of up to 18% for every order may be assessed. How do I place a Caviar order?

To place an order, choose between Delivery or Pickup and enter your address and the delivery time you wish to pick the item up or have it delivered. Click on the photo of a restaurant to start browsing the items on their menu. Add items to your cart and if you have special instructions, type them into the appropriate box. If you’re making a Delivery order, add special instructions for the courier if you have any and submit the order.

Does Caviar have order minimums?

Delivery orders will generally have a minimum subtotal, which varies between restaurants. During periods of unusually high demand, the minimum subtotal may be increased temporarily in some areas. Generally, the minimum amount should be back to normal within 10-30 minutes.

Does Caviar require order minimums or charge any fee for pickups?

No. Ordering pickup means you will not be required to order a minimum amount. You will not be subject to any Service or Delivery fees either. Just place your order and then pick it up when it’s ready at the restaurant.

Can I add an item to an already submitted Caviar order?

If there are more items you would like to add to an order you have already submitted, you will need to place a second order for the same delivery or pickup time. While Caviar is unable to combine multiple orders, they will try their best to expedite the second order as best as they can. Note that after an order is placed, there will be a lock for 5 minutes before you can place any additional order from the same establishment.

What should I do for Caviar orders with missing or incorrect items?

If there are items missing or incorrect from your order, it is advised you contact the restaurant first about the issue. Contact Caviar if more help is needed.

What is Caviar’s policy on refunds?

Refunds will be offered on a case-by-case basis and is ultimately at the restaurant’s discretion. Issues concerning orders need to be reported to Caviar customer service no more than 7 days from the delivery date. Beyond 7 days, all transactions will be deemed final and can no longer be adjusted.

Do I need to tip my Caviar courier?

Caviar orders already include a tip so tipping extra is not necessary. It is appreciated, however. Tips given by customers through the Caviar system are given completely to the delivery driver.

Can I modify a Caviar order?

If you wish to modify a submitted order, contact Caviar immediately. Significant changes to the order can often lead to delays in delivery but Caviar will try to accommodate these modification requests as best as they can.

Can I cancel my Caviar order?

If you have placed your order on iOS or on the web, you may cancel your order by clicking on the Cancel Order button at the confirmation page for the order within 60 seconds of submitting it. If it has been more than 60 seconds, you will need to contact customer support in order to cancel. For catering requests, customers are required to give a 24-hour notice for orders to be canceled. Cancelations will need to be approved by the restaurant. If the meal has already been made, the order may no longer be canceled. Refunds will also not be issued.
