What happens if I cancel my Postmates Unlimited membership?

If you cancel before the free trial ends, you will not incur any charge. If you cancel after the free trial has ended, make sure to do it before the next renewal date to avoid getting charged for the next billing cycle. If you wish to cancel a monthly or annual membership which you’ve used, there will be no refund issued to you. Is Postmates only available for specific hours?

No. Postmates is available 24/7. As long as the store or merchant you wish to order from is open and is accepting orders, Postmates will deliver.

What payment methods does Postmates accept?

How much is Postmates’ delivery fee?

Delivery fee for Partner Merchants is $0.99-$3.99. For all other merchants, delivery can range from $5.99-$9.99.

What other fees does Postmates charge?

Aside from the delivery fee, Postmates may also charge a surge or Blitz charge during peak order times. There is also the service fee, which will be applied to your items’ purchase price. If your order is not able to reach a certain minimum amount then a small cart fee of $1.99 may also be charged. The minimum order for LA is $10 and $12 for all other cities. Note that you can avoid all these extra charges for orders over $15, along with the delivery fee, if you sign up for the Postmates Unlimited.

What happens if a hold is placed on my Postmates account?

When a hold is placed on your account, you may not be able to place orders until the issue causing the hold is resolved. Most of the time, holds are caused by a failed charge where the payment method was declined, a disputed payment, or when there is unusual activity on your account. When your account is suspended, you’ll receive email instructions on the reason why it is on hold along with the steps you can take to resolve it. Click here to learn more.

What is Postmates’ cancelation policy?

If an order hasn’t been placed yet and Postmates hasn’t reached the merchant yet, then the order can be canceled through the app. You will not be charged.


If the order has been placed and the driver is picking it up, you’ll have to pay for the items you ordered along with the cancelation fee. You will not be charged the Service Fee or the Delivery Fee.


If the order has already been picked up and is being delivered to your location, you will be charged the full price including the cost of the items ordered, the Service Fee and the Delivery Fee. Click here to learn more.
