What payment methods does Agoda accept?
Aside from credit cards, Agoda also offers other convenient ways for their customers to pay depending on the country of destination. Options such as local counter payments or ATM may be available. Many apartments and hotels will also let you pay in person upon check-in. However, these payment methods are subject to availability. If they are, then they should appear as options when you are filling out your booking form.

Do Agoda’s room rates include service and tax charges?
Agoda’s default settings for prices depend on your country of origin. Some countries may or may not require taxes and fees to be shown. Depending on the selected currency, the rates for displayed rooms may or may not include the charges for service and taxes. To view the total price of a stay, however, you can always continue to the booking form as all the details will be listed there.
How can I tell if Agoda is providing a discount for an accommodation?
All the promotional rates displayed on the Agoda website are already discounted. All the details and information concerning a specific property or accommodation will be displayed on the booking form. Clicking on to the payment page should let you view a complete breakdown of the charges and prices involved.
What is Agoda’s refund policy?
Agoda provides a simple and efficient refund process. While Agoda does not charge processing fees for cancelations, some hotels and accommodations may impose a penalty charge. This charge is equivalent to a one night stay. It is important to read hotel policies carefully prior to booking.
If applicable, refunds will be submitted to the bank and could take up to 10 working days to be transferred and processed. There are banks that may take up to 15-30 working days or until your next billing cycle. Expect the refund to be converted to your local currency and to appear on the payment method you used when booking. There are countries where an Agoda Gift Card is offered for refund which should then be automatically credited to your account.

When do I pay for my Agoda booking?
This largely depends on your booking type.
For “Per Night” booking, you pay online. Once you’ve submitted your payment details and the room is available, your credit card is then verified and charged. You’ll receive a booking confirmation afterwards.
For Book Now, Pay Later, you make the booking now and you’ll make the payment later. Generally, it will be 2-3 days before the booking conditions of the property become active that you will be charged for the full amount. This option, however, is only available for MasterCard, Visa, JCB, and American Express.
For Special Rates where an Agoda partner has offered the lowest rate, Agoda will confirm the reservation and will issue the confirmation email to you. Your card will not be charged as you will be required to make a direct payment to the hotel upon checkout.
How can I tell if my Agoda booking is confirmed?
Typically, you will receive the confirmation email and the booking voucher within 30 minutes from the time you made the booking. You can always view the status of your bookings online by logging into your Agoda account and selecting “My Bookings”.
What documents does Agoda require upon checking in?
What you need to show upon check-in depends largely on the policy of the property. Typically, you’ll be asked to provide the booking voucher along with the credit card used when making the booking. You’ll also be asked to provide a valid photo ID.
Can I cancel my Agoda booking?
Yes. Agoda provides a self-service option to cancel your booking through the confirmation email sent to you or through “My Bookings” on your account. Generally, you will have 14 days prior to your arrival to cancel a reservation where you may not be charged any fee. This is specified in the confirmation email you receive upon booking. Cancelations received after the cancelation date may be subject to a minimum of 1 night cancelation fee. All cancelations must be made through Agoda.
Does Agoda offer a best price guarantee?
Yes. If you have made a reservation through Agoda and find that the same room for the same dates may be booked at a much lower rate on another website, Agoda will either match or beat the rate. To qualify, just fill out the Best Price Guarantee Claim form here. This is only for confirmed Agoda bookings and is subject to terms and conditions which can be found here.
Does Agoda offer early check-in or late check-out?
Late check-outs and early check-ins depend on the availability of the accommodation and are at the discretion of the property. This needs to be confirmed by the property. Requests like these may be subject to additional charges. You may contact the property before your arrival to get more information and to secure confirmation.
Can I make changes to my Agoda booking details?
Yes. Agoda has a self-service option that allows you to make amendments to your booking either through the link provided in your conformation email or through their website under “Manage My Bookings”. This may be subject to amendment charges and should be indicated in the total on the self-service page. Amendment changes to your bookings can also result in rate changes. If the rate reduces as a result of the amendments, expect to be issued a refund.
