Apple iPhone X Specs - Highlights
The new Apple iPhone X has set the bar for high-end smartphones. It will cost customers $999, the steepest price yet for an iPhone, but will also boast a bunch of new iPhone features that users will love. You can find many Apple products at Best Buy.
- OLED Screen: This is a technology that has been in TVs for a bit now and has finally made it's way to the new Apple iPhone in 2017. Essentially, this technology allows displays to be built thinner and lighter, while also increasing brightness and dialing in color accuracy.
- Edge-to-Edge Display: It's bye-bye borders with this developing smartphone technology that brings the phone screen out to the very edges of the phone.
- Facial Recognition: Apple has done away with the Home screen button, opening the door for full on infrared facial recognition to grant access to your new Apple iPhone X. You now access the home screen by swiping up from the bottom.
- Animojis: iPhone X users will have the joy of creating and sending Animojis. These are basically 3D animated emojis that use the phones facial recognition feature to animate themselves.
- Wireless Charge: No more cords necessary as the Apple iPhone X will be wirelessly charged.
Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus - Highlights
Apple upgraded it's "lower-end" smartphone line with the introduction of the new Apple iPhone 8 and the larger iPhone 8 Plus, selling for $699 and $799 respectively.
- Glass Body: The Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will both feature glass bodies, a stylish upgrade from the aluminum bodies sported on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
- Upgraded Camera: New sensors for the camera and improved motion sensors will help keep the iPhone at the top of the line for smartphone photography. Buyers can also get excited about improvements to lowlight photography, with added detail and depth upgraded in the new Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.
- Wireless Charge: The Apple iPhone 8 and 8 Plus will also charge wirelessly.
Also Announced: Apple TV and Apple Watch
Apple also took the time at the Cupertino, California event to announce updates to the Apple TV and Apple Watch lines.
Apple TV: The new Apple TV includes 4k streaming, is two times faster than the older version and also has support for a new color technology that will slowly make it's way into our homes called "high-dynamic range" or HDR.
Apple Watch: The biggest update for the 3rd-generation of the Apple Watch is the inclusion of a cellular chip that allows you to connect to the internet even if your phone is not around. The cellular version of the Apple Watch will retail for $399.
