Head in a Jar: What better way is there to freak out the person you live with than to stuff your head into a jar and leave it in the fridge for them to find? Print out a panoramic picture of your face (go for a "lifeless" pose), fill a jar with water and either red or green food coloring, roll and place the photo in the jar and get ready for some seriously freaked out roommates.
Double-Mask: Masks are an all-too-common aspect of Halloween. But what about a mask under a mask? Start with the spookiest, most horrific zombie-mask or makeup you can find. Next, get an innocent costume, like a scarecrow for example, and throw that on overtop of your horrific costume. Now, when people comment on how awesome your costume is, rip off your mask to reveal the horrific zombie face and scare the wits out of someone.
