Q: How do I find the perfect RV for me?

A: It's easy! On the home page, under "Find Your Perfect RV Rental," Enter your desired pickup and drop off location, as well as your desired dates. After that, you'll see your vehicle matches and be able to narrow them down even further with filters that include how many people will be sleeping in the RV, amenities and price, among others. 

Q: How much do Outdoorsy RVs cost?

A: Outdoorsy fees are set by the respective owner of the vehicle you're looking at. Some owners require a deposit while some don't. You can narrow down your searches based on how much you are hoping to pay for your stay! Most owners charge on a per night basis.

Q: I found the RV I want. How do I rent it?

A: Click "Request Booking." After that, the RV owner will accept or deny your request. If accepted, you'll be asked to pay a deposit on the reservation, which is typically at least 25% of the entire reservation cost.   

Q: Do I need special insurance?

A: Your personal auto insurance may or may not cover your RV rental, so Outdoorsy makes it easy for owners and renters to have peace of mind. After a DMV check and approval by Outdoorsy, you'll be assigned coverage that will meet state minimums for liability with an option to upgrade to $1 million in coverage. Outdoorsy's coverage doesn't cover trip cancellation, however, so you may want to consider purchasing that for a minimal extra fee when you book. 

Q: What if I need to cancel my trip?

A: The cancellation policy depends on which RV owner you work with, as they have a choice between three policies: flexible, moderate and strict. For flexible and moderate policies, you'll lose 25% of your entire trip cost, and for strict policies, you'll lose 50% of the entire trip cost. 

Q: What if I cause interior damage to the RV?

A: If the interior damage costs less than the $1,500 insurance deductible, but the security deposit doesn't cover the full amount of the damage, you as a renter are responsible for paying the balance to Outdoorsy out of pocket. If the damage costs less than the security deposit, the owner may withdraw the amount from your security deposit before returning the rest to you. 

Q: What if I exceed the mile and generator allowance?

A: A typical rental will include a set number of miles and generator hours at the owner's discretion. The owner may charge for usage and miles above the agreed-upon allowance. Speak with the owner directly if you have questions about their policies. They may be willing to work out a deal with you.
