The "Cause" in CouponCause: How We Give Back to Charity

Here at CouponCause it's our mission to save you (our visitors) money on your online shopping. Just as importantly though, we've also dedicated ourselves to giving back to the international community! By donating a portion of the referral fees we generate through your clicks to select charities, we believe we are helping to make the world a better place for us all. 


So remember, as you use the coupons and promo codes found on CouponCause to save you money online shopping, you're actually helping out those people in our society who need it most. It's a win-win!


2016 Fundraising


2016 was a strong year for the CouponCause program. On average, our visitors were able to raise between $5k-$10k for each of the charities listed on our Featured Causes page, simply by using promo codes and saving money. In addition, together we raised an incredible $25,000 for our biggest partner, The LA Food Bank (see their description below).

CouponCause Featured Charities


-Los Angeles Food BankThe LA Food Bank has devoted their resources to combatting the problem of hunger in Los Angeles County. Over 1 billion pounds of food have been delivered to people in need around LA County in the past 40 years. Each dollar donated to the Los Angeles Food Bank can provide up to four meals! 


-American Humane SocietyThe American Humane Society has looked out for the wellbeing of children and animals alike since it's creation in 1877. Aside from the barks, meows and tweets of our favorite pets, animals have no real voice. The American Humane Society advocates on their behalf and we can definitely get behind that! 


-Code.org: Coding jobs are in increasing demand and that's not going to change anytime soon. Code.org is a non-profit devoted to making computer sciences more accessible to all students and increasing the amount of women and minorities in the field. Code.org provides some of the largest school districts across the country with industry-leading K-12 curriculum.


-International Medical CorpsHelping across the globe where ever they are needed, the International Medical Corps provides life-saving medical services to war zones and areas devastated by natural disaster. They also provide the local communities with the tools and knowledge necessary to continue care after they leave. The International Medical Corps has helped tens of millions of people in over 70 countries, providing an estimated $2 billion in medical and educational training. 


-National Pediatric Cancer FoundationThe National Pediatric Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to helping children battle cancer through researching and implementing less toxic and more targeted treatments. The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation collaborates with leading hospitals across the country to make these strides in defeating childhood cancer.

-Sacred RokRon Kauk formed Sacred Rok in an attempt to help today's youth build self-confidence by reconnecting with nature. Sacred Rok works with the Merced County Juvenile Probation Department to provide kids an opportunity to find direction in their lives. Sacred Rok helps these kids find peace within themselves through nature.


-Surfrider FoundationThe Surfrider Foundation is a voice for the ocean and all of it's many diverse needs. They focus on 5 main pillars: beach access, clean water, ocean protection, coastal preservation and plastic pollution. The Surfrider Foundation is the only nonprofit organization that focuses entirely on our coasts.


-Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation: In 1980, Nancy Brinker promised her sister, a victim of breast cancer, that she would devote her life to fighting the devastating disease. Two years later in 1982, that promise became the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation has invested over $2.5 billion in breast cancer related awareness, research, community outreach and more. 


-The HeartWayThose who are facing the transition from life to death can turn to The HeartWay for support and guidance. This nonprofit organization focuses their efforts on helping those who are faced with their death to do so with grace, and help their loved ones deal with the loss throughout the transition.

-Waves For WaterWaves for Water is all about getting clean drinking water to those in need around the globe by providing portable water filters. Waves For Water has teamed up with Hurley International in a program that encourages those who travel to remote corners of the globe for the surf, to bring a couple water filters with them in their luggage. These can be given to the local villages and vastly improve lives!
