How I Revamped My Entire Wardrobe: A 6PM Review

I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one out there who is way more fashionable in the spring and summer than during winter. I’m guessing that it’s because the cold is really holding my fashion game on pause, only to have it explode in late spring. So here I am, just like every May, craving to doll up in the latest trends – give me all the pastels, the cutouts, the mules and the vintage florals NOW!

So this year, in the midst of my fashion craze, I went on a virtual shopping spree on 6pm – and while it might have taken me a good 4 hours to browse through all their stuff (seriously, they carry everything from swimwear to sandals and from jewelry to denim), I totally enjoyed it. While grabbing 5 pieces all at once might feel like a splurge (hey, I was on a mission to revamp my closet), I’m telling you it wasn’t, since most of the stuff I got came with really tempting price tags.

Here’s what I’ll be wearing this summer from 6pm.com:

1. The Dainty Eyelet Frock: Laundry by Shelli Segal Venise Dress

I’ve been eyeing the eyelet (ha!) trend for a while now – and while most pieces seem a tad too frilly for my rather simplistic tastes, I totally fell in love with this easy breezy summery dress. It’s my newest obsession that I’ve been rocking on repeat, dressing it up with block heels or down with white sneakers and denim jackets. I love a shift cut that’s no-fuss – and if it comes with a few added notes of romance that don’t feel too precious, but rather effortless, even better.

2. The Ultimate Cross Over: Heather Jackie Silk Peekaboo Neck Top

I can’t resist a good neutral top, but my wardrobe is already loaded with taupe basics – this one’s far from basic though. I’ve been into the peekaboo necks lately and while I wasn’t sure whether they’d be comfy enough, this one sure was. It’s super soft and silky, and while it does come with long sleeves, it’s so airy and lightweight that it’s still a great summer staple.

3. The Denim: Paige Hoxton Crop Jeans

I’ve been looking for a light wash pair of denims for a while now – but passed on all those almost-white skinnies as they just don’t agree with my hips. These ones might be more mid-wash, but I’m not complaining though. While they weren’t among the cheapest options, I’m loving their fit and lived-in look.

4. The Boho Tunic: Tolani Sidney Dress

I’ve never met a tunic I didn’t like. Yup, that’s me, the muumuu aficionado. And while most kaftan-shaped tunics look exactly like oversize muumuus on me, this one was definitely a pleasant surprise. I don’t know what it is about it, but I am suspecting that it’s the bare shoulders that make it look less like a shapeless creation and more like a dress. While I won’t be rocking this Tolani tunic to work or maybe even in the city, it’s a perfect weekend getaway or vacation staple.

5. The Fancy Dress: London Times Catalina Crepe Shift

More cold shoulder for you – I might be a little late to the party, but it’s totally one of my current obsessions. This one was hunted with a purpose though, as I was about to attend a coral themed baby shower. Needless to say, this dress totally nailed it. I paired it with strapped heels for the afternoon and an on-tone clutch, but I might try to dress it down as well with my flat gold mules.
