It can be really hard to find an easy, straightforward technology shopping experience, let alone one that's actually fun. I knew this summer it was time to revitalize my setup, but I just kept putting it off. I didn't want to struggle through another long and frustrating session of trying to figure out whether or not I was looking at the best deals for the best devices. 

Finally, I decided I'd try Newegg, which I'd heard was one of the best technology shopping experiences out there. I was admittedly pretty hesitant, and I honestly wasn't all that impressed by their homepage—it doesn't look like anything special or different. At first, the experience was daunting.

Newegg Weekend & Weekly Sales Review

That started to change when I saw they have Weekend Sales. I went straight for PCs & Laptops, and then 2-in-1 Laptops. I love having a device I can work from while on the go, but my old one just hasn't been doing it for me for a while now. Sure enough, I found a great Asus VivoBook Flip over a hundred dollars on sale. It was right there, quick and easy for me to find. 

That's when I knew that Newegg was worth really giving a shot.

Now that I had what I needed, I registered a new account with the site—it's a really easy process that isn't invasive—and I was ready to check out. Newegg allows various methods of paying, including PayPal, but I went the standard route. 

Once I gave my billing and shipping information, I was given a last change to review the items in my cart, then I confirmed the purchase. Since some of the items were sent from the Newegg Standard Shipping Service, but the standing desk was from the Newegg Marketplace Direct Delivery Service, they had different expected arrival dates, but both were reasonable.

Overall, my experience with Newegg was very good. It definitely took some getting used to, and there's still a lot more for me to check out. Once you get over the initial overwhelming nature of such a big site though, it really welcomes you in. And the great thing about such a big site is how much they have to offer you. 

There are plenty of Newegg sales you can take advantage of, and the shopping experience becomes straightforward and easy. It's about as close to fun as you can hope to get, and that's saying something!
