What is the Family Tree DNA refund policy?
Family Tree DNA will make a partial refund if the request is made within 60 days of the initial order and the unopened testing kit is returned within 30 days of the request. A cancelation fee of $25 may also be deducted from the refunded amount.
Can I cancel or change an order to Family Tree DNA once it has been submitted?
Orders cannot be changed or canceled once they have been sent to the Family Tree DNA labs for testing. Kits are usually tested on Wednesdays, however there may be additional testing days.
Do I need to create an account with Family Tree DNA?
Yes. Your Family Tree DNA account will be how you get and read your results once they are completed. The account can also allow you to interact with the community including connecting with possible family members that you were not aware of and more.

Family Tree DNA will send you an email telling you that your results are in so that you can log in to your account and see them. Results are not sent to your home.
